What are pathogens?
Pathogens are disease causing bacteria, virus and fungi which can infect animals and plants. Bacteria are microscopic pathogens that reproduce quickly upon entering the body. They tend to release toxins that can damage tissues and cause illness. Fungi are spore producing organisms that can sometimes cause diseases.
