Applied Biosystems MicroAmp plates are specifically designed for PCR and qPCR applications and can improve amplification uniformity of samples to deliver reliable results. MicroAmp plates are designed to provide unmatched temperature accuracy and uniformity for fast, efficient PCR amplification. MicroAmp optical plates for qPCR reactions are opaque and engineered to minimize auto- and interfering fluorescence.
MicroAmp plates are manufactured in an ISO 13485 certified facility, are free of DNA, RNases, and PCR inhibitors. Fast versions of these plates reduce the 'dead space' between the heated lid of the thermal cycler resulting in reduced PCR reaction times to as low as 25 minutes.
For higher throughput laboratories, MicroAmp plates are available with barcodes for efficient sample tracking. Custom barcodes are available on request.
Custom barcoded PCR plates
All semi- and full-skirted PCR plates and storage plates can be barcoded. Choose plate type, barcode format, label size, barcode density, sequence, and positioning. The minimum order for custom barcoded products is 10,000 plates. Contact your local representative or customer service for more information.

MicroAmp optical plates
MicroAmp optical plates are made from a single piece of rigid polypropylene and are frosted to minimize auto- and interfering fluorescence. The design of MicroAmp plates create a barrier to ambient air to help ensure well-to-well uniformity. In addition, these plates enable accurate and consistent results in every PCR and qPCR experiment.
The MicroAmp Fast Optical PCR plates have increased thermal contact for faster, more uniform heating throughout the PCR reaction, which results in maximum thermal cycling enabling PCR reactions in as few as 25 minutes. Our various types of MicroAmp optical plates are listed in Table 2.

MicroAmp EnduraPlate PCR and qPCR plates
MicroAmp EnduraPlate reaction plates consist of a rigid polycarbonate frame, ideal for robotic/automation handling, and ultra-thin polypropylene wells for snug fit and excellent heat transfer from the thermal block to the sample. These EnduraPlate plates feature high-contrast, black alphanumeric lettering for easy-to-read well identification to help minimize errors. Multiple colored frames available for easy sample identification. Our most-used EnduraPlate plates are listed in Table 3.

MicroAmp TriFlex plates
MicroAmp TriFlex 96-Well PCR Reaction Plates are designed for use with the Applied Biosystems standard (0.2 mL) 96-well and ProFlex 3 x 32-well thermal blocks. The polypropylene plate contains three identical 32-well segments connected by side tabs. This facilitates the set-up of 32-well experiments. TriFlex plates are also compatible with standard 96-well formats.
MicroAmp 32-Well Clear Adhesive Film
MicroAmp 32-Well Clear Adhesive Film is specifically designed and cut-to-size for use with MicroAmp TriFlex 96-Well PCR Reaction Plates. The film provides a convenient alternative to caps that securely seals wells to prevent evaporation and reduce risk of cross-contamination.
