Invitrogen Alexa Fluor 488 dye is a bright, green-fluorescent dye with excitation designed for use with the 488 nm laser line. For stable signal generation in imaging and flow cytometry, Alexa Fluor 488 dye is pH-insensitive over a wide molar range. We offer Alexa Fluor 488 dye conjugated to a variety of antibodies, peptides, proteins, tracers, and amplification substrates, optimized for cellular labeling and detection. In addition, reactive dye forms and protein labeling kits are available to allow you to generate your own antibody conjugates or probes.

Probes with high fluorescence quantum yield and high photostability allow detection of low-abundance biological structures with greater sensitivity. Alexa Fluor 488 dye molecules can be attached to proteins at high molar ratios without significant self-quenching, enabling brighter conjugates and more sensitive detection.
C57BL/6 mouse splenocytes were stained intracellularly, using the Foxp3/Transcription Factor Staining Buffer Set and protocol, with CD4 Monoclonal Antibody, APC and 0.125 µg of Mouse IgG2a kappa Isotype Control, Alexa Fluor 488 (left) or 0.125 µg of FOXP3 Monoclonal Antibody, Alexa Fluor 488 (right). Cells in the lymphocyte gate were used for analysis.
