There are many models and configurations to choose from. We’ve made it easy to find the right system for your needs by selecting from the five categories below which will launch an interactive selection guide.
Meet your most critical and everyday application needs, from electrodeionization to reverse osmosis and distillation with Thermo Scientific Barnstead Water Purification Systems. Depending on your requirements, we have systems that will produce Type 2 water and Type 3 water for general lab purpose, Type 1 water for analytical and life science applications, or a combination of water type capabilities. Browse the systems below by water type that best meets your requirements and view our model selector tool for more detailed model information.
Depending on configuration, your system may require certain accessories and optional components. Be sure to note these accessories when requesting your quote (required and optional accessories are listed with each system in the selector guide).

Description | ||||
Type 1 ultrapure water is the highest water purity and can be made pyrogen-, nuclease-, bacteria- and particulate-free. | Type 2 water is produced through reverse osmosis, deionization and distillation processes. It provides a superb source of feedwater for Type 1 Water systems. | Type 3 often refers to the use of reverse osmosis to purify the water. Type 3 water is commonly used to supply purified water for water baths, dishwashers, autoclaves and feedwater to obtain pure and ultrapure water. | A lab water distillation system is one of the broadest removal capabilities of any single form of water purification. No consumables needed. | Cartridge systems are crucial components to any pure water system and are easy to operate and maintain. |
