At one point or another, every probe will need to be refurbished or replaced due to age. Calibration failures, system not zeroing properly, or seeing elevated mercury levels could mean the system is not functioning properly. In some instances, o-rings and seals may be dry, cracked or corroded. Need assistance making a cost effective determination of whether to refurbish or replace? Quality Counts
When considering the purchase of a new probe, there are many factors to take into account. Artifacts due to interactions with the fly ash, ensuring a particle-free, vapor-phase sample for analysis or conversions at the stack are just a few. The 83i Inertial Fastloop Probe has been specifically designed for monitoring mercury emissions from coal-fired power plants and waste incinerators.
