Designed for ease-of-use, energy savings, and traceability, Heratherm Environmental Chambers offer a range of advanced features to support testing in controlled environments, and are flexible enough to support industrial and academic settings. Features include built-in energy saving technologies, environmental controls, data capture and versatile light settings.
Efficient humidity delivery
Heratherm Environmental Chambers offer decreased water consumption, compared to previous models. An integrated water tank delivers water to the humidification system to create the desired relative humidity (RH) inside the chamber. The humidification system is designed to minimize condensate in standard applications, while increasing lab efficiency. An optional clean water connection is available.
Peltier thermoelectric cooling
The Peltier module cools and heats thermoelectrically via an automatic control, which ensures optimal adaptations based on set temperatures without using refrigerants or other hazardous substances. Unlike in compressor-based incubators, the Peltier module always stays above 0°C in cooling mode, preventing ice accumulation and the necessity to defrost regularly and lowering energy usage. Finally, the absence of significant vibrations in the units helps maintain sample integrity.
Low-energy LED lighting
The vertical low-energy LED lighting is programmable and is offered in two different configurations. Choose between the light module for ICH, with white, red, and blue LED lights, and UV LED light, or the light module for plant/animal growth with white, red, and blue LED lights. The programmable light options offer diversity in light spectrum and day/night cycles.
Reliably achieve reproducible results with Heratherm Environmental Chambers, which provide precise control over temperature, humidity, and lighting. Temperature is set and maintained in 0.1°C increments within a 0° to 70°C range on the 7-in. digital display that shows both actual and set point temperatures (ramp and soak). Over- and under-temperature controls allow you to narrowly define acceptable fluctuations during daily use, such as with frequent door openings, and alert you when outside of set parameters. Relative humidity is also clearly displayed, and easily and tightly controlled within a range of 10 to 90% RH @ 37°C. RH levels below ambient can also be reached - the Peltier technology can remove humidity from the interior environment.
The built in data logging capabilities of the Heratherm Environmental Chambers enable compliance with 21 CFR Part 11. Additionally, two access ports are integrated into the chamber for inserting remote monitoring, such as the Thermo Scientific Smart Vue Pro or other technologies. For laboratories that require user profiles be established, all chambers can be programmed for open and restricted use modes.
The Stability and Light Chambers meet ICH stability and photostability testing -- addressing guideline Q1A(R2) for temperature/humidity as well as guideline Q1B for light and UV exposure. Additional compliance standards such as FDA, TAPPI, ASTM or national testing standards can be established, along with IQOQ validation services.
Heratherm Environmental Chambers are shipped upright, ready to unpack, plug-in and start-up from delivery. Each 750 L model fits through standard door frames and has casters that lock and unlock for ease of moving and positioning in the laboratory.
The touchscreen control panel provides guidance through the start-up process and choices of preprogrammed light cycles are immediately available. Loading the chamber is easy with shelves that pull out and hold up to 25 kg in weight. Reinforced stainless steel shelves that hold up to 70 kg are also available.
Cleaning and maintenance are easy as the shelves are removable and sit inside a stainless-steel chamber. The corner edges are rounded for ease-of-cleaning and to help prevent cross-contamination.
Vertical LED lighting systems, configured with modules specific to various applications, extend the versatility and capability of Heratherm Environmental Chambers. Select from modules that emit and control the exact lighting best suited for your experiments. Choose from high intensity UV lighting that meets ICH Q1B standards for light stability testing, or daylight module for plant growth, animal hatching, or testing applications. Lighting modules are easily programmable to achieve exacting exposure control of your samples.
