Thermo Fisher Scientific is known worldwide for providing a variety of high-purity products used in analytical and environmental chemistry research. Our comprehensive offering of Specpure analytical and environmental standard solutions are well-known for their accuracy, purity, and quality.
Specpure analytical standards
Features
- An NIST-traceable Certificate of Analysis included with each standard solution
- ISO 9001 compliant
- Expiration date stickers included with each standard solution
- Standards will perform in substantial conformance with our specifications
- Certified accuracy of ±1.0% for atomic absorption standards and ±0.3% for plasma solutions from the stated concentration
These solutions are intended for use with either flame or furnace absorption spectroscopy. Our standards are among the most frequently used in elemental analysis. We offer 70 single element aqueous solutions at 1,000 μg/mL in both 100 mL and 500 mL sizes.
These solutions are intended for ICP-OES, ICP-MS, XRF, and other techniques for elemental analysis. These techniques are designed to determine the concentrations of many elements quickly, either simultaneously or sequentially. Our plasma standard solutions are accurate to ±0.3%.
Specpure environmental standards
Themo Fisher Scientific offers a line of Specpure environmental standards for use in various trace element detection methods employed by the EPA to test environmental samples.
CLP Solution Standards are designed for environmental labs using ICP analysis. These products provide a virtually error-free method for preparing the required standards, saving you time in the process.
- Simple and easy-to-use—Standards are individually prepared standards for CLP protocol requirements. They are available in LabPaks™ for complete ICP or GFAA analysis, or in kit form for each CLP protocol test.
- Cost-effective—Each LabPak™ yields approximately 10 L. Combine this fact with their overall ease-of-use, plus reduced repeat analysis, and it's easy to see how you can save both time and money.
- Highest quality materials—Standards are produced using the highest purity starting materials available. All standards are made from the same starting material, except for the ICV standard which is made from different material sources. Additionally, we use only high-purity water passing 18 MΩ/cm2 resistivity and high-purity distilled acids that are analyzed and certified to meet our required impurity levels.
- Attention to detail—Container materials are selected for inertness and compatibility with specific solutions, and all containers are pre-leached in 50% HNO3 (followed by 50% HCI for HCI matrix solutions) for one week and triple-rinsed in high-purity water.
Thermo Fisher Scientific is proud to offer several common standards for use with ICP-MS analysis.
- Specpure ICP-MS general standards include an internal standard solution and a tuning standard solution
- Specpure ICP-MS standards for Method 200.8 are applicable for the determination of 21 elements as dissolved elements in ground water, surface water, and drinking water, and total recoverable elements in these waters as well as wastewater, sludge, and soil samples
- Specpure ICP-MS standards for Methods 6020 and 6020 CLP-M are applicable for the determination of
sub-µg/L concentrations of a large number of elements in water samples and in waste extracts or digests
