The EVOS M3000 Imaging System was designed to be the workhorse of any cell culture or research laboratory by democratizing the ability to produce reliable, stunning high-quality cell images and video. This system automatically and precisely measures cell confluency in real time, with no expertise required. This compact, versatile, easy-to-use system is capable of two-color fluorescence, color-imaging, brightfield, and phase contrast, making it your go-to manual microscope.
In addition to the common features of all EVOS microscopes, the EVOS M3000 Imaging System offers:
Built-in automated real-time image analysis for measuring cell confluency
Capture images in brightfield, phase contrast, color imaging, and fluorescence
Compatible with the full selection of EVOS objectives (1.25-60X) and light cubes
Simple user interface with touchscreen display
Our smallest EVOS footprint fits easily on the lab bench or in a cell culture hood
Network-capable instrument facilitates seamless data transfer, storage and collaboration enhancing productivity and data management
The patent-pending EVOS real-time confluency tool can typically measure confluency in less than 1 second without requiring any image capture, making it excellent for eliminating user bias in routine cell culture. The output from this proprietary bioapplication correlates well with confluency measurements from other software, e.g., Cell Profiler, and is standard on all EVOS M3000 instruments.
Induced pluripotent stem cells imaged over time with the EVOS M3000 instrument. Human fibroblast-derived induced pluripotent stem cells were cultured on a vitronectin-coated 6-well plate in Gibco Essential 8 Flex Medium for 3 days. Cells were imaged with the EVOS M3000 instrument under phase microscopy with and without the automatically generated confluency mask and measurement.

The EVOS M3000 Mechanical Stage is an optional addition to the universal, fixed stage provided with the EVOS M3000 Imaging System. This mechanical stage has X-Y axis controls and a vessel holder framework that accommodates our broad range of vessel holders. When using the mechanical stage, vessel holders and large vessels can be held securely in place by a stage clip during operation.
FluoCells prepared slide #1 (Cat. No. F36924) showing bovine pulmonary artery endothelial cells (BPAE) labeled with MitoTracker Red CMXRos (Cat. No. M7512) for mitochondria, and then fixed, permeabilized and stained with Alexa Fluor 488 phalloidin (Cat. No. A12379) for F-actin. This two-channel image was acquired on an EVOS M3000 Imaging System using GFP and RFP EVOS Light Cubes (Cat. No. AMEP4951 and AMEP4952) and an Olympus 60X 1.42 NA oil-immersion objective (Cat. No. AMEP4910).
Fixed tumoroids expressing GFP grown in OncoPro Tumoroid Culture Medium Kit (Cat. No. A5701201) on Nunc Cell-Culture Treated Multidishes (Cat. No. 140685). Two-channel image was acquired on an EVOS M3000 Imaging System using an EVOS 20X Objective (Cat.No. AMEP4982) for phase contrast and an EVOS GFP Light Cube (Cat. No. AMEP4951).
