The dual filament design extends instrument uptime. Both filaments produce similar analytical performance so you can switch from one to the other without impacting analytical performance. To simplify operation, the dual filament assembly is used for both EI and CI modes.
The optimized GC-MS transferline evenly distributes heat across the length of the analytical column, ensuring that there are no hot or cold spots, which in turn delivers Gaussian peak shapes, even for high boiling point compounds.
Optional ion source probes enable you to perform real-time MS and MS/MS experiments on solid samples with easy switching between EI and CI modes. Like the ExtractaBrite ion source, the probes can be removed without venting.

SIM Bridge translates SIM methods from other sources into TSQ 9610 GC-MS/MS system methods. The SIM methods can then be immediately used as-is, or converted into more powerful SRM methods using AutoSRM.
AutoSRM walks users through selection of optimum SRM transitions for TSQ 9610 GC-MS/MS system methods. Together, SIM Bridge and AutoSRM enable even less-experienced staff to rapidly develop MS and MS/MS methods.
As compounds are added to a method, managing acquisition-time windows becomes increasingly complex. For the TSQ 9610 GC-MS/MS system, t-SRM dramatically reduces this complexity by automatically optimizing the SRM parameters needed to attain sensitive detection and quantification. The user simply enters the retention time window for the target peak, and t-SRM takes care of the rest.
Retention Time Alignment (RTA) is a fast, flexible, and easy way to maintain retention times during high-throughput GC-MS system operation. RTA uses the void time of the column and retention time of a reference substance to provide new column dimension settings, or to correct carrier gas pressure or flow values to realign chromatographic peaks. After a column replacement or trim, the user can quickly realign the retention time.
