Configurations with up to 9 lasers and 60 detectors

Configurations offering both spectral analysis and conventional compensation range from 5 to 9 lasers and up to 60 detectors (55 fluorescence and 2-5 scatter parameters), while configurations offering only traditional compensation come with 4 or 5 lasers and up to 35 detectors (30 fluorescence plus 2-5 scatter parameters). Other than the laser and detector configuration, all instrument models share the same specifications.

Sort devices Up to 6-way sorting; configurable tube holders include 1.5 mL, 5 mL, 15 mL, and 50 mL tubes. Microwell plates with a standard footprint of up to 1,536 wells can be loaded directly for straight-down sorting; 4-way sorting into 96-well plates; 4-way sorting into 384 well plates. Temperature control from 4°C to 37°C for all sorting media.

* When running at 70,000 eps, users may see a decrease in efficiency depending on experimental conditions and sort criteria. Sort speeds should always be optimized for specific experiments.

Biosafety

Compliance testing The Bigfoot Spectral Cell Sorter biosafety enclosure provides personnel and product protection similar to a Class II BSC. Test procedures and criteria laid out within NSF49 and EN12469 standards can be utilized to demonstrate performance.
