Applied Biosystems TaqMan Marker and Reporter Assays enable researchers to reliably detect and quantitate DNA or RNA sequences encoding common marker and reporter proteins, such as green fluorescent protein (GFP) and its derivatives. They are designed using the same verified pipeline as TaqMan Gene Expression Assays. Together with a TaqMan master mix, these assays offer a fast, simple, and scalable technique for quantifying your markers and reporters.
TaqMan Marker and Reporter Assays can be used to:
- Check for successful cloning and/or transfection of your fluorescent fusion protein.
- Determine the efficacy of a cellular delivery system by quantifying the amount of plasmids delivered to the cell
- Quantify copy numbers of a transgene in cell lines
- Detect the SeV genome and transgenes in cells reprogrammed using the CTS CytoTune 2.0/2.1 Sendai reprogramming vectors
