Description: The monoclonal mouse IgG2b, kappa is useful as an isotype control immunoglobulin.
Applications Reported:This mouse IgG2b isotype control has been reported for use in immunocytochemistry, immunohistochemistry, and flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Has been pre-titrated and tested by intracellular flow cytometric analysis and can be used at test size: 5 µL (1 µg)/test per test. A test is defined as the amount (µg) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 µL. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test.
Excitation: 488 nm; Emission: 520 nm; Laser: Blue Laser.
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.
Target Information
Mouse IgG2b is a subtype of immunoglobulin G antibody that is produced by B cells in response to an antigen. It is the third most abundant IgG subtype in the serum and plays a crucial role in the adaptive immune response. Mouse IgG2b is composed of two heavy chains and two light chains, and it is involved in opsonization, complement activation, and antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity. It is also involved in the regulation of immune responses, including the activation of T cells and the inhibition of B cell activation. Mouse IgG2b is widely used in research and diagnostic applications, including ELISA, Western blotting, and immunohistochemistry. It is also used in therapeutic applications, such as immunotherapy and vaccine development.
