Getting Started
- What methods of detection are available for the various protein and enzyme activity assays?
- Should I use a purified protein/enzyme or use a cell lysate or whole cells for a protein or enzyme activity assay?
- When can I work with a lysed sample and when should I not use a lysed sample for a protein or enzyme activity assay?
- Is the type of microplate critical for the success of a protein or enzyme activity assay?
- How do your active GTPase pull-down and detection kits work?
Troubleshooting
- I get a different range of RFU values from assay to assay, even using the same kit. What can I do get the same range of RFU values?
- My instrument is giving me negative RFU values for my some of my samples and lower range of the standard curve. Can I still use these values?
- I’m performing high throughput screening (HTS), and after doing multiple microplates, my water blank is fluctuating/increasing or shows a sudden drop in RFU values from the first microplate to the last. What is causing this?
- My IC50 (or EC50) results for a well-known compound are the not the same as published results. What could cause such discrepancies?
- My enzyme activity data is linear until higher concentrations where it is a flat line. Why does this occur?
