The Qubit Flex Fluorometer is a benchtop system which can selectively and accurately measure the concentration of up to 8 samples of DNA, RNA or protein simultaneously using the highly sensitive and accurate fluorescence-based Qubit assays.
At the end of this course, a participant should be able to:
- Identify main instrument features and perform initial setup
- Use system software tools and onboard calculators
- Run an assay and manage sample data
- Set up profiles and link the instrument to a network and Connect (Thermo Fisher Scientific cloud utility)
- Perform simple instrument maintenance and troubleshooting
The QuantStudio 1 Real-Time PCR System is a bench-top instrument that uses fluorescence-based polymerase chain reaction (PCR) reagents to perform quantitative detection of target nucleic acid sequences, and qualitative detection of targets and PCR products. Available in EMEA only.
At the end of this course, a participant should be able to:
- Install the instrument and perform initial setup
- Link the instrument to Connect (Thermo Fisher Scientific cloud)
- Start a run and edit experiment templates
- Perform basic instrument maintenance and troubleshooting

The EVOS M5000 Imaging System is a fully integrated digital inverted benchtop microscope for four-color fluorescence, transmitted light, and color imaging.
At the end of this training, a participant should be able to:
- Install the instrument and perform initial setup
- Identify key features of the instrument and software, and the accessories shipped with it
- Capture and save images in transmitted light, color and fluorescent channels
- Change the objectives and light cubes
The iBright CL750 is a system with intuitive workflows that delivers high resolution images. This system supports basic imaging applications associated with chemiluminescent western blots, DNA and RNA gels stained with fluorescent nucleic acid stains, and visible protein gels.
At the end of this course, a participant should be able to:
- Install the instrument
- Perform initial setup
- Perform basic operations to image electrophoresis gels or membranes
