Meet the specialty measurement and reporting requirements for nonwoven manufacturing, whether the process is spunbond, spunlace, airlaid, meltblown or carded. The Thermo Scientific™ 21PlusHD Measurement and Control System for Nonwovens measures the basis weight or thickness of nonwoven materials as well as binder or super-absorbent polymer (SAP) content and moisture, specifically for hygienic applications. The system's advanced sensor technology ensures efficient production of uniform, reliable, functional products. The system supports the stringent reporting requirements for roll quality with full-lot traceability.

The 21PlusHD Measurement and Control System for Nonwovens consists of a Mark III or L400 scanner, a Thermo Scientific™ PROSIS™ Infrared thickness sensor or Thermo Scientific™ Beta Plus™ sensor, binder and moisture measurements, and line speed controls.

Operator Interface:

Features WonderWare HMI user interface. Operator stations are PC-based and communicate with other system modules across an Ethernet LAN. Desktop interface and LCD450-console configurations are available.

Communication Capabilities:

The 21PlusHD system provides powerful communication capabilities with industry-accepted OPC standards, allowing the sharing of product and process data with popular software packages for data acquisition, database building and quality analysis.

Instrument Performance Management:

Maintain the health, status and performance of gauging instruments with Thermo Scientific Instrument Performance Management (IPM) Software, which is included as part of a Product Support Agreement (PSA). This cloud-based, 24/7 remote monitoring platform provides automatic notifications for troubleshooting and advanced diagnostics for fast restoration of performance and minimize downtime.
