Thermo Scientific™ PXS10 - 130kV Microfocus X-Ray Sources combine powerful geometric magnification with a highly stable, high intensity output to meet the most demanding industrial imaging and inspection challenges. With the ability to enable precise imaging of even dense EV (electric vehicle) battery cells, they are particularly well-suited to lithium battery manufacturing applications but also used routinely for PCBA (printed circuit board assembly), electronic component inspection and a range of specialist applications. The PXS10 X-Ray Source is digitally controlled and has a rugged design for reliable, long-term use in exacting environments including in-line systems operating 24/7. Choose from three different beam angle designs to match field of view to application requirements.

PXS10 130kV Microfocus X-Ray Sources deliver exemplary performance in a single, integrated, easy to install compact solution. Key features include:

  • Small, round spot optimized over the range of operating voltage and power, for sharp, distortion-free images
  • Minimum spot size of 6 microns at 4 watts, for high-resolution imaging
  • 14mm spot to window spacing, for high geometric magnification
  • X-ray tube, power supply, and control electronics combined into one compact package, for easy system integration easy
  • Option to rotate the tube head +90° or -90° relative to home position, for flexible configuration and installation
  • Auto-conditioning, for protection of the source during start-up
