For maximum recovery please spin prior to use. Unless noted below, aliquots of the 5 µg, 10 µg and 20 µg sizes of kinase are not recommended as materials can be used in original packaging until exhausted. For larger sizes, the number of freeze/thaws may be reduced by preparing aliquots, aliquots below 20 µL are not recommended. Please never store a kinase diluted. If properly stored at -80C, this product is guaranteed for 6 months from date of purchase.

Phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K) is composed of a catalytic subunit (p110-delta) and a regulatory subunit (p85-alpha in this case), which are encoded by the PIK3CD and PIK3R1 genes. PI3K phosphorylates phosphoinositides on the 3-hydroxyl group of the inositol ring. It plays a role in oncogenic transformation and is consistently expressed at a high level in AML blast cells. PI3K can play a selective role in the amplification of phosphatidylinositol (3,4,5) trisphosphate (PIP3) levels that leads to neutrophil polarization, and regulates directional migration, but not random locomotion. The PI3K signaling pathway is involved in immune responses relevant to the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis and other inflammatory diseases.
