For maximum recovery please spin prior to use. Unless noted below, aliquots of the 5 µg, 10 µg and 20 µg sizes of kinase are not recommended as materials can be used in original packaging until exhausted. For larger sizes, the number of freeze/thaws may be reduced by preparing aliquots, aliquots below 20 µL are not recommended. Please never store a kinase diluted. If properly stored at -80C, this product is guaranteed for 6 months from date of purchase.

Recombinant human CDK16 (107-end) and Cyclin Y (2-end) were co-expressed by baculovirus in Sf9 insect cells using N-terminal GST tags.

Target Information

CDK16 (PCTK1)/cyclin Y belongs to the cdc2/cdkx subfamily of the ser/thr family of protein kinases. CDK16 plays a role in signal transduction cascades in terminally differentiated cells, in exocytosis, and in transport of secretory cargo from the endoplasmic reticulum. CDK16 is ubiquitously expressed with the highest levels detected in the brain and testis. CDK16 also contained the gene coding for ubiquitin-activating enzyme UBE1 that previously shown to mapped to Xp11.3.
