LInspector Measurement and Control System for Separator Film builds on our reputation for gauging measurement excellence which extends back more than eight decades. Specifically designed for separator film thickness and/or basis weight measurement it incorporates a high-precision, high-resolution infrared, beta, or x-ray sensor. The beta sensor monitors separator film basis weight, while the infrared sensor measures basis weight or thickness directly and is the preferred option for many separator films; the x-ray sensor measures weight for the widest range of separator materials. Sensors are integrated within an intelligent, robust measurement frame that delivers the fast scan speeds, positional precision and reliability required for 24/7 operation with maximum uptime. Analytic capabilities include advanced dynamic mapping strategies for separator film thickness control in both wet and dry processes. Reporting options extend to the ability to generate roll, shift or production reports, 3D profile and zoom displays and SPC/QC control charts. Together these capabilities provide manufacturers with the information needed to minimize the risk of downstream processing issues while safeguarding battery quality.
