GeneBLAzer™ D2-Gqo5-NFAT-bla CHO-K1 cells contain the human Dopamine Receptor 2 (D2) stably integrated into the GeneBLAzer™ Gqo5-NFAT-bla CHO-K1 cell line. GeneBLAzer™ Gqo5-NFAT-bla CHO-K1 cells (Cat. No. K1536) contain a beta-lactamase reporter gene under control of the Nuclear Factor of Activated T-cells (NFAT) response element and the Chimeric G protein, Gqo5.
The GeneBLAzer™ D2-Gqo5-NFAT-bla CHO-K1 cells are functionally validated for Z' and EC50 concentrations of apomorphine. In addition, GeneBLAzer™ D2-Gqo5-NFAT-bla CHO-K1 cells have been tested for assay performance under variable conditions. These data are found in the Validation & Assay Performance Summary.
The D2 receptor is found primarily in the brain. There are two forms of D2 which are created by alternate splicing: a short form and a long form. This assay uses the long form, although little difference in ligand binding or signaling has been seen between the two forms.
