Measurement and Control System for Extrusion is a highly reliable, simple and cost-effective solution designed to measure the basis weight or direct thickness of single layer film and sheet applications. Automatic process control options help to achieve optimal production quality and increase product uniformity and process efficiency, while saving raw materials, for a higher return on investment.

The IPlus! Measurement and Control System for Extrusion combines advanced sensor technology and powerful software in an intuitive, easy-to-use system to provide high performance and a low cost of ownership. The system incorporates advanced application packages for film and sheet manufacturing to increase the quality, consistency and performance characteristics of cast film and sheet products.

The suite of Thermo Scientific advanced machine-direction and cross-direction controls improve both quality and productivity, delivering consistent results and an impressive return on investment. The Machine Direction (MD) thickness control option is used to automatically maintain the extruded product to thickness specifications, while the Automatic Profile Control (APC) option controls auto dies to achieve cross-direction uniformity of extruded film and sheet.
