Thermo Scientific™ DeviceLink Connect measures critical reliability parameters and uses advanced analytics to provide real-time monitoring and reporting for lab instruments. The system supports direct connection to specific instruments via their serial/USB port. This connection provides the DeviceLink Connect with on-board instrument telemetry data, alarms, and events. All information is transmitted to the Thermo Connect cloud where you have 24/7 access to the information via web and mobile based platforms.

The DeviceLink Connect is a remote monitoring system that uses direct serial/USB based instrument connections and/or independent sensors to gather useful information about the operation of the equipment. Sending this data back to Thermo Connect cloud allows for 24/7 monitoring from anywhere in the world.

How it works:

  1. Connect your DeviceLink Connect system
    • Supply power via the provided AC power cable
    • Connect your instrument via serial/USB cable to the DeviceLink Connect mote
    • Install (optional) independent sensors
  2. Configure your setup via the web-based Commissioner Application
  3. Establish a Thermo Connect cloud account
  4. Download the free mobile InstrumentConnect mobile application
  5. Monitor your equipment 24/7 from anywhere in the world

Network:

  • Wi-Fi: WPA Enterprise (802.1x) and WPA2-PSK protocols
  • Ethernet (LAN) connections also supported
  • Up to 7 days internal data storage during a network outage

Power and Battery:

  • Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) provides main power to the device.
  • PoE wall adapter provide or a PoE 802.3af standard connection can be used
  • Contains a rechargeable Li-ion backup battery providing up to 3 hrs. of backup power during continuous operation (2600 mAH, 3.6V)

Advanced InSight Analytics:

The DeviceLink Connect system is also compatible with Thermo Scientific™ InSight™ analytics, powered by KLATU™ which are designed to collect, analyze and make efficiency and operating cost recommendations from multiple asset inputs and events such as:

  • Cabinet temperature
  • Electrical use and energy consumption
  • Door openings
  • Ambient temperature

When you purchase an InSight monitoring license and subscription (sold separately) your DeviceLink Connect data run through a number of algorithms utilizing the InSight software. With InSight analytics, you can determine and compare the assets' performance against industry performance standards adding that next level of asset management.

Installation and Services:

  • Customer (self) installation
  • Install services are sold separately if desired
  • Calibration sensors also available.

Available only in North America.
