CaptureSelect Biotin Anti-CD9 Conjugate consists of a 12–15 kDa recombinant single domain antibody fragment (VHH affinity ligand) that specifically binds with high affinity and selectivity to the tetraspanin marker CD9. The affinity ligand is chemically conjugated to biotin via an appropriate spacer that retains the binding reactivity of the ligand when used in combination with streptavidin-based conjugates or streptavidin pre-coated surfaces.
This conjugate allows you to detect, quantitate, and characterize CD9-expressing extracellular vesicles (EVs) like exosomes. Together with CaptureSelect HRP Anti-CD9 Conjugate (Cat. No. 7303402100), a sandwich ELISA can be set up to detect and quantitate CD63 expressing EVs.
Applications for CaptureSelect Biotin Anti-CD9 Conjugate include sandwich ELISA, Gyrolab™-based immunoassays, immunoprecipitation, and sample prep purification using streptavidin-coupled Dynabeads or MSIA Streptavidin D.A.R.T.S and label-free detection platforms such as those based on surface plasmon resonance (SPR) and bio-layer interferometry (BLI). For more information see our Biotin Application Guide.
For detection of a broad variety of EVs and exosomes that originate from different cell types and secretion pathways, such as those of endosomal (CD63 enriched, CD9+, and CD8+) or ectosomal (CD63 low, CD9+, and CD81+) origin, we also offer CaptureSelect Biotin and HRP anti-CD63 conjugates and CaptureSelect Biotin and HRP anti-CD81 conjugates.
Animal origin statement
CaptureSelect products contain affinity ligands based on recombinant single-domain antibody fragments (VHH) created by a proprietary technology. The VHH affinity ligand is a 12–15 kDa fragment comprising the three complementarity-determining regions (CDRs) that form the antigen-binding domain, efficiently produced in yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae by a production process free of any animal components (Animal Origin-Free).
