dI CEP is a phosphoramidite containing 5' DMT and the nucleoside deoxyinosine (dI) for use in oligonucleotide synthesis. The problem of degeneracy of the genetic code can be assuaged by utilizing universal bases, such as deoxyinosine (dI), in an oligonucleotide. Its unique structure allows for it to pair with all four bases in various 'wobble' structures, with an overall preferential order of base-pairing: dI-dC > dI-dA > dI-dG = dI-dT. This product is supplied in a 30 mL amber bottle with a 20-400 Finish neck style, which is compatible with most Expedite Systems of oligonucleotide synthesizers.
