Description:
Elemental Crossbelt Analyzer

The Thermo Scientific™ ECA-3 Elemental Coal Crossbelt Analyzer is an on-the-belt, full-stream, real-time measurement solution for critical coal streams, providing information to support operations such as sorting, blending and out-of-seam dilution. Utilizing industry-leading Prompt Gamma Neutron Activation Analysis (PGNAA) it delivers minute-by-minute data for raw, clean and blended coals, reporting key parameters such as ash and sulfur content, and levels of compounds of interest (e.g. Si02, Al203 and Fe203). An optional moisture analyzer adds moisture levels and heating values to the reporting slate. Use the ECA-3 to robustly safeguard customer specifications at the pit, to improve the productivity of preparation plant, and to minimize the use of higher quality, expensive coals at power plants.

By delivering accurate, real-time measurements of coal composition the ECA-3 allows you to control coal grade and power plant feed with exceptional efficiency. Key features include:

  • PGNAA technology for highly reliable, through-belt ash measurement even with variable ash mineralogy, multiple seams and/or coal types.
  • Optional integrated moisture meter for the calculation of heating values.
  • Compatible with COBOS (Coal Blend Optimization Software) and Silo Tracking software for efficient coal composition monitoring and control in bunkers, stockpiles, and silos.
  • Designed for easy installation on existing conveyor belts.
