Dionex ICS-6000 HPIC System: Run different methods simultaneously

The modular Thermo Scientific Dionex ICS-6000 HPIC system is a highly configurable ion chromatography (IC) system with high pressure capabilities. It enables you to develop and run different methods for a single sample or for different samples simultaneously. The robust design of this system enables operation at up to 5000 psi and produces consistent, reliable results. As a top-of-the-line ion chromatography system, the Dionex ICS-6000 HPIC system is designed to adapt to the needs of users and push the boundaries of what is possible in ion analysis.

Highlights

Flexible configurations

Dionex ICS-6000 HPIC systems come in a variety of configurations, with the ability operate as a single- or dual-channel system to run samples concurrently. This high-pressure IC system can address a full range of IC applications, from 2-D IC for trace-level analysis to high-performance anion-exchange chromatography with pulsed amperometric detection (HPAE-PAD) for complex carbohydrate analysis.

Versatile detection capabilities

The system is compatible with a wide variety of detectors, including suppressed conductivity, electrochemical, UV-Vis absorbance, inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), and mass spectrometry (MS).

Wide range of IC columns

The Dionex ICS-6000 HPIC system is compatible with 4 μm-particle-size IC columns, which are available in 150 or 250 mm lengths. The 150 mm-length columns decrease run times while maintaining chromatographic resolution. The 250 mm-length columns offer improved peak resolution.

Mass spectrometry compatible

The Dionex ICS-6000 HPIC system is the ideal IC system to work in tandem with mass spectrometry, as it can used for a wide variety of sample analyses. From single quadrupole to high resolution accurate mass (HRAM) Thermo Scientific Orbitrap mass spectrometers, IC-MS analysis provides improved selectivity and higher sensitivity.

Automated Eluent Generation (EG)

For unmatched method reproducibility and accuracy, the system can electrolytically generate high-purity hydroxide, carbonate, bicarbonate, or methanesulfonic acid (MSA) eluents when provided with a source of high-purity deionized water. Using the Dual EGC mode, the Dionex ICS-6000 HPIC system can also generate potassium hydroxide/potassium methanesulfonate (KOH/KMSA) eluents for complex carbohydrate analysis.

CDS Software

The Dionex ICS-6000 HPIC system comes with the easy-to-use Thermo Scientific Chromeleon Chromatography Data System (CDS). This software provides powerful control and data processing for IC and offers eWorkflows that make all our essential applications easily accessible. Additionally, the Chromeleon CDS can control mass spectrometry systems, enabling seamless IC-MS analyses.
