That’s why we include free software with all KingFisher instruments so that you can create, modify and store your protocols. You can also search and download automated protocols for our MagMAX nucleic acid purification kits, and Dynabeads and Pierce protein purification beads and kits.

Features of Software
- Compatible with KingFisher instruments
- Conveniently create and modify protocols on your PC and transfer to them to your KingFisher instrument. The software allows you to define and edit steps and parameters for every part of your protocol—bind, wash, elute
- Allows KingFisher plates and reagents to be defined in the plate layout
- Generates status reports that include run log, plate layout, and step parameters
Instructions for downloading and installing protocols with BindIt software:
- Make sure you have BindIt 4.1 Software installed in your computer
- Click the protocol in the table (DNA/RNA protocols, Protein protocols). Protocol opens directly in BindIt Software
- Save the protocol in your computer in the preferred folder.
- Connect your PC with USB cable to KingFisher instrument and select Home > Connect in BindIt Software.
- You can start the protocol from the BindIt or transfer it into instrument. If you transfer the protocol select Home > Transfer in BindIt Software.
- Select Upload and find the saved protocol. Click open.
- Select the folder (category) you want to store the protocol in the instrument.
- Your protocol can be now found in the instrument memory.
- Disconnect your instrument from BindIt and check using keypad that you protocol is in the desired folder.

How to install BindIx software*?
- Download BindIx here
- Download BindIx from Microsoft Store here
BindIx from Microsoft Store can be installed by selecting “Install” button on MS Store. - USB stick (delivered from manufacture)
BindIx from USB stick can be installed by double-clicking .msix bundle file and after that selecting “Install” button.
Note: System requirements for BindIx software is Windows 10 version 1809 (17763.0) or higher.

- Make sure you have BindIt 4.1 Software installed in your computer
- Click the protocol in the table. Protocol opens directly in BindIt Software
- Save the protocol in your computer in the preferred folder.
- Connect your PC with USB cable to KingFisher instrument and select Home > Connectin BindIt Software.
- You can start the protocol from the BindIt or transfer it into instrument. If you transfer the protocol select Home > Transfer in BindIt Software.
- Select Uploadand find the saved protocol. Click open.
- Select the folder (category) you want to store the protocol in the instrument.
- Your protocol can be now found in the instrument memory.
- Disconnect your instrument from BindIt and check using keypad that you protocol is in the desired folder.
Immunoprecipitation protocols for KingFisher Flex or DUO Prime automation
† Strategy (Indirect or Direct). This refers to the order of binding steps, and it primarily pertains to immunoprecipitation protocols. Indirect protocols involve incubating the target-containing sample and antibody first, and then incubating with the beads second. Direct protocols involve incubating beads and antibody first (either to bind or covalently couple the IP antibody), and then incubating the bead-antibody complex with the sample.

Instructions for downloading and installing protocols:
- Make sure you have BindIt 4.1 Software installed in your computer
- Click the protocol in the table. Protocol opens directly in BindIt Software
- Save the protocol in your computer in the preferred folder.
- Connect your PC with USB cable to KingFisher instrument and select Home > Connectin BindIt Software.
- You can start the protocol from the BindIt or transfer it into instrument. If you transfer the protocol select Home > Transfer in BindIt Software.
- Select Uploadand find the saved protocol. Click open.
- Select the folder (category) you want to store the protocol in the instrument.
- Your protocol can be now found in the instrument memory.
- Disconnect your instrument from BindIt and check using keypad that you protocol is in the desired folder.
Immunoprecipitation protocols for KingFisher Flex or DUO Prime automation
† Strategy (Indirect or Direct). This refers to the order of binding steps, and it primarily pertains to immunoprecipitation protocols. Indirect protocols involve incubating the target-containing sample and antibody first, and then incubating with the beads second. Direct protocols involve incubating beads and antibody first (either to bind or covalently couple the IP antibody), and then incubating the bead-antibody complex with the sample.
