What is dEX® 2.0?
dEX 2.0 is a simplified yet powerful software that allows you to configure and program your DT80 series data loggers. This configuration-based software allows you to configure the hardware and visualisation data and also debug your application on all DT80 series of loggers (including DT82 and DT85 series).

Please read the following notes prior to downloading firmware.
- USB flash drive firmware—To use the USB Flash Drive version of the firmware you must extract all files from zip archive onto your FAT/FAT32 formatted USB stick before inserting into your logger, otherwise the firmware upgrade will not commence.
- Modem firmware—These files allow you to update the modem firmware inside the DT8xM logger models. Before downloading, please read the modem upgrade instructions very carefully to see whether you need to update and to determine which update version is correct for your model.
- USB driver—This driver allows you to access the dEX web interface on your DT80 Range Series 2 data logger using a USB connection. Requires Windows XP or later (32 or 64 bit).

dataTaker® LabVIEW Driver
The dataTaker LabVIEW Driver is a comprehensive library of VIs that allows the dataTaker range of data loggers to be configured and queried from LabVIEW.

Use the driver VIs to take care of all the communications and data formatting of the dataTaker data loggers, allowing you to concentrate on your application rather than how to interface to the data logger.
With flexible, universal analog, digital, and serial inputs, the dataTaker hardware can be used for real-time data acquisition, in addition to being perfect for applications requiring stand-alone operation in remote or distributed locations with limited power supply.
- Documentation—A comprehensive help file is available, with chapters on getting started, dataTaker concepts, and documentation on each of the VIs, linked to each LabVIEW VI used.
- LabVIEW Environment—The dataTaker LabVIEW driver follows standard LabVIEW conventions so users familiar with the LabVIEW programming environment can focus on using the DataTaker hardware.
- Examples—There are a number of examples throughout the driver, demonstrating different ways to use the dataTaker data loggers.
DT8x data loggers
The dataTaker DT8x driver for LabVIEW has been written to interface with the DT80 data loggers. Download the driver, and extract the zip file to the relevant user.lib directory in the LabVIEW directory.
DT800 and DT5xx data loggers
The DataTaker Instrument driver for LabVIEW has been written to interface to the DT800 data loggers and the DT5xx range. Download the driver and extract the zip file to the relevant user.lib directory in the LabVIEW directory.
