Seamlessly switch between a trap heart-cut 2D-LC system and a dual LC system using the innovative Thermo Scientific Vanquish Simple Switch 2D-LC System. This two-dimensional LC (LC-LC) system is an innovative, all-in-one system that uses the novel Thermo Scientific Vanquish Dual Split Sampler to enable users to seamlessly switch between both system capabilities without re-plumbing. Simply decide which task needs to be performed and this system supplies the confidence and productivity you need.  


Highlights

Two systems in one

The unique system configuration allows you to run both trap-based 2D-LC for difficult samples and switch to a dual LC system that uses two independent 1D flow paths to run two analyses, either identical or not, on a single system without re-plumbing.

Greater confidence for complex sample analysis

Run sensitive LC-LC methods by enriching the fractionated analytes on a trap column to enable low-concentration detection and prevent solvent incompatibility between detection methods; or run two complementary assays simultaneously on two separate flow paths to double throughput.

Increased sensitivity

The system enables enrichment of low-abundant analytes and removal of diluting or disturbing solvents from the eluent by trapping and pre-concentrating the analytes of interest on a trap column to increase sensitivity when used as a 2D-LC instrument.

Simplified method development

The second-dimension pump provides the flow for solvent modulation, to address solvent incompatibility between UV and MS methods or mobile phase incompatibility between different column chemistries to support multiple combinations of 1D and 2D methods.

The modularity of the Vanquish LC systems makes it easy to build a system to best meet your application requirements with the flexibility to upgrade from a standard HPLC instrument to a more advanced configuration when you need to address more challenging analyses.  

Easy and reliable tool-free connections

The Vanquish Simple Switch 2D-LC system is fitted with Thermo Scientific Viper fingertight fittings, which support near-zero dead volume connections and enable sharper peaks and tool-free setup.


What is the Vanquish Simple Switch 2D-LC System?

Our unique Vanquish Simple Switch 2D-LC system allows you to simply switch between a trap-based 2D-LC or dual LC.

 

This flow scheme illustrates how the three six-port valves can be configured to run the system for 2D-LC analysis with two columns with a trap column in series, or as a dual LC system with two columns in parallel.
