Prostate carcinoma.
Tissue from a prostate carcinoma has been fixed with formalin, embedded in paraffin, sectioned, and hybridized with a biotinylated antisense RNA probe to gastrin-releasing peptide (GRP) receptor mRNA. Following in situ hybridization, the biotinylated probe was developed for visualization with alkaline phosphatase&endash;mediated techniques using the ELF 97 mRNA In Situ Hybridization Kit (Cat. No. E6604, E6605). Image contributed by Marty Bartholdi, Berlex Biosciences, Berlex Laboratories, Inc.
